The genre of our film is an 'Action Thriller'. The age certification of our film is a 15 to ensure that only people 15 and over can watch the film. The main target audience of our film is for people aged 20 - 35 this is because the two main characters in the film are in their 20's and therefore for people to understand the love story between the two main characters and enjoy the storyline these ages will probably want to see the film the most. As the film is an independent film people of A/B social group may not want to watch the film as they may think the quality Is slightly poor and therefore people of the social group C1 and C2 are probably most likely to want to see the film as they have enough money to go to the cinema but do not think a film will not be a good if it is made by an independent film company. The target audience enjoy action thrillers and like to watch TV programmes and films in their spare time, as this means they would spend their leisure time watching our film.
Here are audience profiles of people that suit our target audience

Sarah - 23 from Romford
This girl is of the social grade C2 she has a monthly spare of about £300. Her main hobbies are to go to the cinema with her friends, watching TV, listening to music and socialising by going out for meals and going to night clubs.
Her favourite TV shows include, Law and Order, NCIS and Homeland. This is because there is a female lead character in all these three programs and she enjoys a programs that makes you think about the storyline that does not have an obvious ending, for example in law and order trying to figure out who committed the crime and in Homeland what is going to happen and whether Carrie will help save the day.
Sarah's favourite films include Salt and Taken. She enjoys these films because they are thrillers and do not have clear obvious endings. She likes that salt is played by Angelina Jolie who Is a strong independent women and likes the action in Taken. Her favourite shops are Miss Selfridge and H&M although she does not go shopping very often and she prefers to spend her money by going to the cinema or doing an activity with her friends e.g. meal out. Her favourite band is the script as she thinks of them as good musicians and likes their music instead of a boy band that she see's as mainly liked for their looks and not their music. She goes on holiday to somewhere in Europe for a week once a year as her monthly spare is not very much and she spends a lot of it going out each month.

Elliot - 26 from London
This boy is of the social grade C1 and has a monthly spare of £500. His main hobbies are watching films and playing rugby. He goes to the cinema quite often with his friends or girlfriend.
His favourite TV programme is 24. This is because he wants to see what Jack Bower will do to save the day and what will happen throughout the series. Elliot's favourite films are The Bourne films and Die Hard films. This is because he loves the action in the films.
His favourite shops are Hollister and River Island. His favourite music is performed by Usher and Chris Brown. He goes on holiday twice a year, once with his girlfriends and once with his male friends for a lads weekend away.
The reason why these people suit the target audience of my film is because they are of the C social grade and therefore would be more likely to watch the film because stereotypically they do not mind that it was not produced by a mainstream high budget production company. Also these people watch crime/ action/ thriller TV programmes for entertainment in their leisure time and like to go to the cinema, this means that they would be likely to watch this film whilst its at the cinema and may also watch it on TV in their leisure time. As this film is British film, therefore mainly funded by the UK and filmed with British actors and filmed in the UK, this film is most likely to attract British viewers when it is first released.
People that watch 'Taken' are of similar demographics, therefore people that watch taken my be similar to our target audience. (social grade C2 and have a monthly spare) although this film mainly attracts men as it has a stereotypical storyline of the man saving the women whereas our film has a man and women that help save the day and hopefully will attract people of both genders. However, due to the female having the main lead role women will be the main target audience.
